what is Bitumen
Bitumen is an oil based substance. It is a semi-solid hydrocarbon product produced by removing the lighter fractions (such as liquid petroleum gas, petrol and diesel) from heavy crude oil during the refining process.

Penetration Bitumen 60/70

Bitumen grade 60/70 is a premium brand that is dark brown or black color similar to cement-shape semi-solid or viscous liquid form produced by the non-destructive refining of crude oil during petroleum refining.
The exact chemical composition of bitumen 60/70 is dependent on the chemical complexity of the original crude oil and the manufacturing process. Penetration bitumen grade 60/70 has properties of 60~70 desimilimeter and softening point 46~58 Deg.C.
Bitumen extracting is hard but it can bubble naturally to surface in petroleum seeps.
Seeps are places where fossil fuels and petroleum products leak out of the Earth instead of being trapped deep below the ground.
In these seeps, bitumen, asphalt, and tar bubble up into pools.
In addition, bitumen is the main fossil fuel component of oil sands. Bitumen combination with asphalt is solid, uses in paving.

Application of bitumen 60/70 grade:

Bitumen 60/70 mainly uses in construction. Furthermore, it serves in paving and roofing apples.
85% of bitumen uses in asphalt industry.
10% used in roofing, because it`s waterproofing qualities help make roofs function well.
5% using for sealing and insulating purposes in building materials such as carpet tile.
In addition, it uses in soundproofing, explosives, fence post coating, mildew protection, a binder in briquettes, a backing to mirrors, shoe solesand soil stabilization
The exact chemical composition of bitumen 60/70 is dependent on the chemical complexity of original crude oil also manufacturing process. Penetration bitumen grade 60/70 has properties of 60~70 desi-milimeter and softening point 46~58 Deg.C.

Bitumen 60/70 is Elastic and Plastic:

When one takes a thread of bitumen 60/70 from a sample and stretches or elongates it, it is the power to return to a length preparing to its original length eventually.
For many bitumen 60/70 this technique might take longer than others.
When temperatures unit of measurement raised, equally as once a load is applied to bitumen 60/70, the bitumen 60/70 will flow, but will not come back to its original position once load is removed.
This condition is alleged as plastic behavior. Applying a load implies that you simply place a weight on the bitumen 60/70 therefore on subject it to fret.
This may well be throughout a groundwork science lab or at intervals the bitumen 60/70 final position at intervals the road and it's done to assess the bitumen 60/70 reaction to the load.

Penetration Bitumen Grade 40/50

Bitumen grade 40/50 is a premium brand that is dark brown or black color similar to cement-shape semi-solid or viscous liquid form produced by the non-destructive refining of crude oil during petroleum refining.
The exact chemical composition of bitumen is dependent on the chemical complexity of the original crude oil and the manufacturing process. Penetration bitumen grade 40/50 has properties of 40~50 desimilimeter and softening point 52~60 Deg.C.

Application of bitumen 40/50 grade:

Penetration bitumen grade 40/50 is used for paving, road construction and used for hot mixed asphalt because of the properties of very strong viscosity compared to other grade.

Penetration Bitumen Grade 85/100

Bitumen grade 85/100 is a premium brand that is dark brown or black color similar to cement-shape semi-solid or viscous liquid form produced by the non-destructive refining of crude oil during petroleum refining.
The exact chemical composition of bitumen is dependent on the chemical complexity of the original crude oil and the manufacturing process.
Penetration bitumen grade 85/100 has properties of 85~100 desimilimeter and softening point 41~49 Deg.C.
Bitumen 85/100 could also be a specialist fuel grade, typically exclusively created in regarding 65th of refineries around the world and with a yield of exclusively 3%~4% of the total crude slate, bituminous crudes from the likes of oil countries tend to supply rather additional, but these a further specialized refinement methodology, means that on the way facet the potential of most ancient refineires.

Application of bitumen 85/100 grade:

Penetration bitumen grade 85/100 is used for paving, road construction and used for hot mixed asphalt because of the properties of very strong viscosity compared to other grade.

Bitumen 85/100 is Elastic and Plastic:

When one takes a thread of bitumen 85/100 from a sample and stretches or elongates it, it is the power to return to a length preparing to its original length eventually.
For many bitumen 85/100 this technique might take longer than others.
The properties are mentioned as a result of the elastic character of bitumen.
When temperatures unit of measurement raised, equally as once a load is applied to bitumen 85/100, the bitumen 85/100 will flow, but will not come back to its original position once load is removed.
This condition is alleged as plastic behavior. Applying a load implies that you simply place a weight on the bitumen 85/100 therefore on subject it to fret.
This may well be throughout a groundwork science lab or at intervals the bitumen 85/100 final position at intervals the road and it's done to assess the bitumen 85/100 reaction to the load.

BITUMEN VS ASPHALT
What’s the difference between Bitumen and Asphalt?
Should I use Bitumen or Asphalt?
Bitumen is actually the liquid binder that holds asphalt together. The term bitumen is often mistakenly used to describe asphalt.
A bitumen-sealed road has a layer of bitumen sprayed and then covered with an aggregate. This is then repeated to give a two-coat seal.
Asphalt is produced in a plant that heats, dries and mixes aggregate, bitumen and sand into a composite mix.
It is then applied through a paving machine on site as a solid material at a nominated or required thickness, relative to the end use.
Asphalt results in a smoother and more durable surface than a bitumen-sealed road.
